When I first moved into my little studio on E. 9th Street in November of 2021, I kept things pretty spartan for quite awhile. Slowly started populating the space with Facebook Marketplace deals, and things like this that I encountered on the sidewalk on evening walks through the neighborhood.
This little table fit my space perfectly and became my desk. Then, when I bought my younger son a fancy PC for his birthday, I sawed out the crossbeam and moved it back to fit the tower.
I even moved the thing to my new apartment and put it in my son's bedroom closet. But after Christmas, he got other furniture for the closet and there was really no place for it, so today, it went back to the street from whence it came.
I hope it gets another chapter.

Another curbside score. This one was really not what I would have chosen, but I needed a better workspace and had been wanting a little side table about these dimensions for this spot. It might grow on me, especially after a dark stain or some paint. The chair on the other hand is just awful. Got it for free off Facebook Marketplace when I just needed something to sit on. Very much enjoying having the workspace though.

Been wanting to get a coffee table and rug for ages now, but unable to justify the cost to myself. Late last night, after walking to the corner to post a letter to my son at summer camp, I kept on to take a lap or two around the block. Saw the rug rolled up with a pad on the sidewalk and gave it half a thought but barely even slowed down. But then, just a bit further on, I saw the coffee table. The small size was just what I had in mind for the space, so I figured I had no choice and carried it home, and decided at the same time I ought to take the rug too, after a very careful survey for gross stains or bedbugs. Very pleased with it all.
