There are lots of names I always used to think would be impossible to disassociate from their comic strip equivalents. Calvin and Linus have managed to make that leap in my mind. Marmaduke has not.

Superman should be preposterously jacked. 3 inch thick veins on his neck, bowling balls on his shoulders nearly touching his ears, etc... And Clark Kent baffles everyone by acting bookish and laughingly denying ever hitting the gym.
